Forge world Metalica is the furnace heart of the war production in the Charadon Sector. Upon the orders of the Despoiler, Typhus leads a vast invasion into the Charadon heartlands, seeking to besiege Metalica and to infect it with Nurgle's plagues. Beneath his foetid banner fight not only the forces of the Death Guard, but also warbands from the Black Legion, Word Bearers, Alpha Legion and countless others. Alongside them come twisted Chaos Knights, endless tides of mutants, cultists and daemons, and even the towering abominations of the Legio Morbidus. Yet against this invading horde stands an Imperial alliance between the armies of the Adeptus Mechanicus, the Adeptus Astartes, the Astra Militarum and many more.
