Each player, as either Napoleon or the Duke of Wellington, relives the trials faced by their historic counterparts, building their armies, and harnessing their resources to gain the advantage over the three fronts in the climactic and bloody Battle of Waterloo: Hougoumont, La Haye Sainte, and Papelotte.
