Join us for one of only 2 Altered World Championship Qualifiers in the US!  Earn a spot into the first Altered World Championship in Paris, France!

When: August 9th, 2025

Time: 10am Start

Where: QuakeCon at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center

Cost: $25 (+$15 convention entry - see below)

Players: 256 max

Format: Best of 1 (Swiss rounds based on attendance), Cut to top 8

Common Ground Games is pleased to be one of the inaugural stores for the Altered World Championship Qualifiers!  In anticipation of the desire for the coveted invite to the World Championship (only 24 people world wide!) and paid trip to Paris, France, we've decided to hold this event off-site!

Partnering with QuakeCon, we'll be holding this event at the lovely Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center!  This allows us to have up to 256 players participating the day of.  While you do have to purchase a separate convention ticket (as little as $15), it does get you access to all the fun things at the convention!  Make sure to sign up for a convention entry as soon as you sign up for your spot!  (Click here for the QuakeCon Signup)

After 128 Players, $15 will be added to the prize pool for each player signed up.

2025 World Championship Hero Booster

Each booster pack will randomly contain an exclusive, full-art, foiled version of one of the original 18 core set heroes, featuring the artist's signature.

 

Beyond the Gates” Faction Champion exclusive cards

As a reward for top faction players, each competitions will provide foiled "faction favorite" cards from the "Beyond the Gates" featuring the World Championship Qualifiers logo.

 

Top 8 Playmat - World Championship Qualifier

Experience Hestia's kitchen and her brigade with this exclusive Gamegenic foiled playmat, a special reward granted only to the top 8 players of each World Championship qualifier.

 

Travel expenses & accommodation to Paris World Finals

To ensure the best players can compete at the highest level, all travel & accommodation costs will be provided for those who reach the World Championship Finals, removing any geographical obstacles.
