Mascarade Expansion

The masquerade resumes anew! Will you succumb to the charms of the Courtesan or the spells of the Necromancer?

The Mascarade Expansion includes thirteen new characters for use with the Mascarade base game, which is required for play.

The expansion includes 'Usurper' and 'The Damned'.

The Usurper is a new character card for Mascarade. The player who holds the Usurper – or who is at least pretending to hold the Usurper – points at another player and announces what he thinks this other player's role is. If he's correct, he gains the power associated with the role guessed. (Note that if the revealed card is immediately to the left of the Usurper, the player who is next in line to play must take the second action: "Swap cards or not".)

The Damned is a new character card for Mascarade with this special ability: If the player of the Damned reveals his role, he is eliminated from the game. If the Inquisitor or the Usurper select the Damned as target for their ability, the Inquisitor or the Usurper are eliminated instead and the former Damned becomes the new Inquisitor or Usurper.
