Sealed pool opening and construction procedure:
1. Opening and Observation:
Each player on one side of the table opens their booster packs, while the player across from them observes the opening to verify that the packs are intact and contain the expected number of cards. If a player has no one across from them to observe this process call a Judge for assistance. This process is repeated for the remaining players on the other side of the table. Once completed, all the opened cards (this includes leaders and bases) are stacked face down and wrapped up using the Set Checklist supplied to each player.
2. Passing
Each player passes the opened pool of cards across the table to the person sitting there opposite. If a player doesn't have anyone to pass to, they should call a judge to assist them with a Triangle Pass. A Triangle Pass is a process by which three players pass a pool of cards, allowing each person to verify someone else's pool that is not their own.
3. Pile and Sort:
Each player counts the card pool to ensure the correct number is present (96 cards in sealed), and that there are no irregularities or missing cards. If a player spots any irregularities, they should call for a judge immediately. They then sort the pile of cards by each Aspect alphabetically matching the layout of the Set Checklist provided.
4. Verification:
Using the Set Checklist, each player will verify the content of the card pool in front of them by marking down the total quantity of each card in the pool. It is very important that each player verifying the card pool fills in their first and last name on the Set Checklist in the Verifier’s first and last name fields. The total quantity of each card must be marked as a numerical value (not hash marks or another method) on the Set Checklist. When calculating the total number of a particular card, the card's treatment should not be taken into consideration. For example, a card pool that consists of a non-foil Resupply, a hyperspace Resupply, and a hyperspace-foil Resupply should be listed in the total column on the Set Checklist as 3 copies of the card Resupply in total.
5. Passing
Once Verification is complete, players should repeat the passing step performed in the same manner as before ensuring each player receives their original card pool back. If a player was involved in a Triangle Pass, please call a judge for assistance.
6. Deck Building & Registration:
Once the card pool is verified, players construct their deck as usual and record the contents of their deck in the "played" column of the Set Checklist. Each player is not only responsible for marking each card played in their deck but also for marking which leader and base they have chosen for their deck. Additionally, each player is responsible for filling in their first and last name on the Set Checklist under "Player Information" in the provided fields.
- Top 8 Draft pool opening and construction procedure:
-
1. Post Draft:
After the completion of the draft process, players remain in their seats until they are assigned a table to build and receive a Set Checklist. The cards drafted by each player (this includes leaders and bases) are stacked face down and wrapped up using the Set Checklist supplied to each player.
2. Movement:
A judge will collect each player’s card pool that is wrapped up securely in their Set Checklist and escort them to the assigned table for verification and deck construction.
3. Verification:
After each player is sitting at their assigned building station the card pool should be unwrapped and laid out in vertical columns such that each card is identifiable by a judge. Leaders and bases should have their own column, and each other card should be in vertical columns organized by the card’s cost. After a player completes this process, they should call for a judge who will snap photos of their card pool. Once each person has completed this process players proceed to deck construction.
4. Deck Building & Registration:
After each player’s card pool is verified, players construct their deck as usual and record the contents of their deck in the "played" column of the Set Checklist. Each player is not only responsible for marking each card played in their deck but also for marking which leader and base they have chosen for their deck. Additionally, each player is responsible for filling in their first and last name on the Set Checklist under "Player Information" in the provided fields.
