In their heyday, these engines moved freight of all types throughout rural America. They were operated by hard-working folks who helped shape this country. This 70-ton Shay locomotive was used by the Little River Lumber and Locomotive Company and is one of the few standard gauge Shays still in existence, making it a quintessential piece of Americana.
