In Merchants of Andromeda, you’ll seek riches in a game of space politics—casting votes in the Senate, bidding on lucrative space goods, or resorting to ship combat!
On your turn, you'll draw three cards (one at a time), choosing to discard, keep, or auction them. Use a timer or the game's dedicated app to perform a Dutch auction—the longer the clock ticks down, the cheaper you'll pay. Careful: as soon as someone bids, the auction ends. It's tense!
Through these cards, you'll manipulate the market, play intergalactic mini-games, and resolve universe-altering events. At the end, the player with the most money wins!
Exciting Dutch Auctions - The auctions are frequent and tense! It's hilarious when someone gets antsy and ends up paying too much for something. Because the auctions are on twenty-second timers, there isn't enough time for analysis paralysis.
Engaging On Every Turn - While the active player has to make some tough decisions, everyone around the table has to stay engaged for the upcoming auctions and votes. This makes for a talkative, captivating game that has players egging each other on the whole way!
You Speculate The Market - At the end of the day, most money wins. You've got to spend it to make it, but sometimes taking a step back when things are over-valued is the right play!
